Futurism. Written by Casalino Pierluigi

Founded by F.T.E. Marinetti with the publicatio of his Futurist Manifesto in 1909, Futurism was a response to the ossified conservativism of early 20th century Europe and Italy. Intentionally provocative and infammatory, Futurism was a call to rebellion and grand action that sought to build a new future and a ne, vibrant society, rejecting establishment culture and founding a a new culture. The Futurist programme was based on the refusal of a social hierarchy trapplep in a mythical past. Futurism celebrated the energy and the dynamism:, the cycle of death and rebirth repeated in men'sentaglement with the machine. Futurism was a mxture of anarchistic attitude and modernistic forces: riot destruction, defiance, confusion, in a constant renewal of art and the affirmation of of the creativity. Futurism became a classical example of justified rebellion founded on a new idealism, a new dynamic condition of the present. Futurism quickly grew into a an international movement and its participants issued additional manifestos for nearly every type of art. The Futurists were particularly excited by the works of late 19th-century scientists and photographer Eìtienne-Jules Marey.
